Tips To A Comfy Period

Tips To A Comfy Period

Here are 6 tips to a comfortable period. As you know, a menstrual cycle is a part of our livelihood. However, how comfortable our 1st phase is, depends on the foods we eat as well as our lifestyles.

During the 4th [luteal phase] as well as 1st [menstruation phase], lots of nourishment is required. It's best to increase leafy greens, drink nourishing teas [one of our Botanical Bliss Teas], increase warmth both internally and externally as well as have adequate rest.

You'd also want to be mindful with the materials you're using to hold your flow as plugs [tampons] can cause cramps and clots.

  1.  Rest - Rest reduces stress and allows our hormones to recover from the many shifts.
  2. Avoid Plugs - This can cause cramps and clots [tampons]
  3. Hydration - The body will need additional fluids, preferably a nourishing tea.
  4. Nourishment - Remember, you're producing more blood so nourishing foods are essential. [lots of greens]
  5. Avoid exercise - This can cause a heavy flow. [especially heavy lifting]
  6. Keep warm - Clots are a result of not maintaining warmth. Consuming warm foods can assist in maintaining this warmth. No ice-cream etc.
